Modern Space Living does not publish a blanket free-shipping guarantee — rates are calculated at checkout, and the key figure is time rather than cost: standard delivery is quoted at 3–4 weeks and express at 1–3 weeks. That timeline, together with the undisclosed country of manufacture, points to fixtures shipping from overseas, so international buyers should confirm whether duties are included. Large lighting is the most damage-prone category in homeware, and this store has documented complaints about breakage, so photograph the carton before opening, check every component against the parts list — including the mounting bracket — and report any damage or shortage to support@modernspaceliving.com the same day.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt for items in new, unused, undamaged condition, but you must request a return authorisation first — unsolicited returns are refused. Two terms deserve real attention before you buy: a 10% restocking fee is deducted from approved refunds, and return shipping is not free — the policy states you are responsible for all postage and packaging. On a 128cm fixture costing $549, those two together can absorb most of the refund. The warranty also excludes secondary costs such as hiring an electrician, and unauthorised repairs void it. Settle size and finish before ordering rather than planning to exchange.

Every Modern Space Living code listed on smartstorereview is tested against the live checkout before publication and rechecked on a regular schedule, with expired codes removed. Bear in mind the arithmetic specific to this store: with a 10% restocking fee and buyer-paid return freight, a discount can be wiped out entirely if the piece has to go back, so the coupon is only worth having if you are confident in the size, finish and light count. Confirm the discount appears in your order total before paying, and check whether a discounted purchase affects return eligibility.

Checkout runs on a standard hosted e-commerce platform, so major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover are accepted, typically alongside digital wallets such as PayPal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay and Google Pay. Given this store's 3.2 Trustpilot score, the documented reports of broken or incomplete deliveries, and the cost of returning a large fixture, paying by credit card or PayPal is strongly advisable — both give you an independent dispute route if an item arrives damaged, incomplete or never arrives. Avoid bank transfers or debit, and keep all order correspondence and unboxing photographs.
